The ICEBERG show is always one I look forward to, you can almost count on creative director James Long to include a splash of colour but SS20 went above and beyond. As the models came down the runway the collection debuted a kaleidoscope of colour which included pieces with the artwork of Sir Peter Blake on it. What some might view as too much, is in fact is just enough, for a statement piece. From denim co-ords to bags and shorts, the pieces were bold and alluring.
It wouldn’t be an ICEBERG show if we didn’t also get some dope athletic streetwear pieces, and again it was delivered in spades. From bright yellows to blues, the light trackies will be a delight in the warmer months. I also found the womenswear to be refreshing as colour blocked tops were teamed with varied hue denim, to vibrant power suits and and flirty pink and coral pieces. Its not often that buy I into womenswear, in fact it can at times come across as contrived, but ICEBERG are able to create and deliver it in a freeing way.
ICEBERG defies the routine of fashion with this collection, straying away from the conventions of seasonal colours and even themes; to give us a fun, punchy array of designs, that is vivacious, exudes confidence, and embodies the essence of summer.
