For some reason, seeing Kanye West’s recent interview with GQ particularly in his look with the blue hoodie and black Yeezy gilet, reminded me of a brand whose pieces I’ve been watching for a couple of months. Grouture is a US based brand that has created a range of distressed clothing.

However Grouture’s gilets are what caught my attention. These SS20 tactical vests have been constructed to an art, available in a range of autumnal colours, the vests are a real statement piece.  The overlapping folds, velcro closures and creative pockets make it the ideal utility attire.

Grouture certainly need a 2.0 version of their vests and I’d be interested to see what they could do with cargo trousers or utility pants. I’m sure the brand has more in store for us in AW20 for now we can admire the beautifully crafted pieces, and know that Grouture has street couture covered!
