Its no secret that I’m a sucker for denim and when it comes to customizing and manipulating it, some brands have it down to perfection. One such brand is Amsterdam based, Cold Wash owned by Matty Hofstede. Cold Wash has been the brain behind a number of lasered denim to present garments with interesting patterns for the ultimate statement piece.
As the brand moves beyond denim experimentation, their latest exploration into watercolours has been a thing of beauty. Keeping within the blue theme, Cold Wash premiered the ‘Watercolour Shirt’, a digitally printed watercolour pattern on a light short sleeve shirt. The outcome is a cool, breezy, abstract shirt that is perfect for the season. Cold Wash knows exactly how to amplify simplicity using crisp tones and production technology.
The brand continues their watercolour theme and apply it to a pair of Converse Chucks. While this is a prototype, I’d love for it to spark a collaboration between both brands, because who wouldn’t want a Cold Converse? Cold Wash has found a way to fuse streetwear and contemporary style to create a brand that elevates minimalism and delivers pieces that can cool you down on the hottest day!
