Day 3 of London Fashion Week Men’s was our most packed and most anticipated day, with three shows a presentation and the designer showrooms to attend, this needed all hands on deck.
We kick off the day at 1pm with a show from Blood Brother. Having attended the Blood Brother x River Island launch party two days prior (see separate post) we were expecting big things from the brand. Blood Brother centred the theme of this show around the theme of the national lottery and its “it could be you slogan”. This was evident right from the invitation which came in the form of a lottery ticket.
Walking into 180 The Strand, the wall display of lottery balls and lottery lighting prepared us for the gamble that Blood Brother was about to take on the runway. As the show opens we are inundated with quilted leather pieces from coats to trousers!
Blood Brother puts on a fantastic display of outfits that aptly highlight their creative prowess as they are able to experiment with a range of materials from velvet to snakeskin and pull off fire fits! The knitwear did not disappoint, with scarves and jumpers adorned with the “it could be you” slogan from monochrome colors to the use of neon!
The brand gave us so much variety, we felt like we had attended multiple shows in one. Its stand out pieces included a graphic print bomber with matching trousers befitting for the red carpet. We also noticed some satire on the runway with a model wearing a T-shirt saying “money bags” while holding a leather duffle bag.
The entire collection was bold and daring and screams BIG PIMPIN! This is what you would wear if you did win the lottery and went back to your old job just to stunt on everyone! Whether it’s the velvet, the quilted coats, or the sequined trousers, there’s something to help you make a statement.
Whilst you might win the lottery (no promises), Blood Brother was certainly winning on the runway and if today is anything to go by, they’re set to keep winning in 2018!
