London’s Leathermann

In the last couple of months I’ve found myself exclusively on the hunt for new and exciting London based brands as I’ve found there to be a shortage especially when sourcing for projects. It’s been a joy finding some London based ateliers with material specialism and collections with depth.

One such brand is eponymous label Leo Prothmann. At first glance it’s clear to see parallels between Prothmann and Rick Owens so it comes as no surprise that the two collaborated on pieces used in Rick Owens FW24 collection.

Prothmann’s winning style has to be his ability to manipulate leather and fashion these rustic textures to create genderless garments. Each look within the FW25 collection features distinguishing silhouettes from ballooned sleeves to shoulder padded jackets. His use of upcycled leather, shell leather and even weathered leather is frankly a marvel and what solidifies him as London’s leather man!
