There’s a snowball effect that happens when you’re researching brands from different countries, in that you begin to unearth newer more daring brands. This was definitely the case after Marketing and PR Guru, Nicolas Barosing put me on to a brand by the name of Formystudio owned by Domenico Formichetti.
Formy is a brand that makes punchy, vibrant pieces for those that aren’t shy and retiring. After recently being drawn to Loewe’s bandana shirt as seen on Asap Rocky, I’ve been on the hunt for pieces that take on the same pattern and Formy has certainly satisfied that criteria.
The brand has created a series of denim two pieces, shearling jackets, and hoodies in bright colours with an all over bandana paisley print. This is most certainly going to be a look for summer and is something I could easily wear during Fashion Week.
What’s even more exciting is that the brand has its own line of sneakers. The kicks come in powder white and tar colourways and are definitely in keeping with the current ‘dad shoe’ trend. They also have the same silhouette with lime green and orange accents.
During Milan Fashion Week, the brand held a pop up which was as colourful as its clothing, showcasing full on bandana drip and graffiti art! Formy’s entire motif wouldn’t be out of place in London especially in sunmer (think carnival) so don’t sleep on it. After seeing all the brand has to offer, I’m ready to rep my set Formy Gangstas!
