Get accustomed to Jaffa Saba

In the last couple of days I’ve posted about nothing but custom work by a number of designers. There’s just something about upcycling an item and the possibilities it brings and in this day and age everybody wants something that is both branded and unique. One individual who consistently takes the best of various pieces, and merges them to create a work of art is Jaffa Saba. Not only does he do this with interesting pieces but he manages to remain on trend each time.

The first time I came across Jaffa’s work was his creation of a Prada chest rig which was made out of a Prada messenger bag, and Alyx style buckles. Jaffa pays attention to detail which is evident in his finishing, always opting for an interesting clasp system. His recent Nike React custom is finished with the same clasp used on the Mains London essential bag and bucket hat.

Jaffa has a range of products from wallets and cushions to gas masks and arm bands, he never stops altering the purpose of items. Unlike other customisers, Jaffa gives us just one visual of each product, leaving us wanting to see the rest in person and also unable to get a full sense of the creative process from all angles. Rumour is, he’ll be having a presentation on the 23rd of this month so you’ll get a chance to see his work up close.

Jaffa’s pieces offer the best of stylish yet technical wear, re-purposed to perfection, they are items we could all get accustomed to.
