As brands begin to unveil their SS19 collections, I’m reminded of brands I’ve had my eye on both in the UK and Overseas, brands that have influenced certain looks I’ve gone for and street styles I’ve seen. As a self confessed Tomboy, stateside brand Shalai Studios caught my attention with their ‘Tomboy’ branded clothing which they’ve consistently carried through for the last 2 years.

Shalai Studios has injected some colour into their Tomboy series, opting for citrus colours for their joggers, and in season lime green for their cycling shorts and crop top. They have also added socks to the collection for all that all important steez.

As the brand continues to grow, I’d like to see some oversized tees and combat shorts from them. They’ve always been able to maintain a balance between sporty and sexy, giving its customers the freedom to represent themselves how they wish. Shalai Studios keep their design simple and it works; you’re able to focus on execution and what you want to pair each piece with. Thank you for representing us.
