Open up the B-archive!

I can’t say I’m much of an art buff but I know what I like and I’m pretty sure you know the artists I love and promote, so this post shouldn’t come as a surprise. From the limited knowledge I have of the art world, I know that as alluring as a painting or sculpture can be, it’s also not always affordable, yet we crave the opportunity to have a piece of art in our homes. We want to immortalize the memory of what we’ve seen and display it with pride.

My favourite fine artist who consistently produces extraordinary artwork through the use of fine lines and precise dot work is Butler, and the 80+ people who have his work tattooed on them would agree with me. He recently completed a Soho House tour exhibiting his work where he merges the female form. As if that wasn’t enough, Butler offers us a chance to have a more affordable version of his artwork by printing it on various merchandise such as Hoodies, sweatshirts, and tote bags.

His pieces come in angelic cream and black, with his dot and line work displayed on them, I’m also pretty sure I saw artist Flohio wearing an unreleased piece from the collection. I can imagine this being paired with a minimalist, Scandinavian style, think chinos, culottes, and clean lines. What has really set me off is the unreleased Converse x B-Archive trainers that Butler has recently teased, this is a beautiful fusion of the art and fashion world that could easily become a sneaker staple in my rotation. I’m hoping Converse has plans to release these in 2019.

Whenever Butler puts his art into fashion it causes a frenzy that changes the spend plans of his fans so I’m eagerly anticipating what else he chooses to add to his collection. Either way this is one archive that deserves to remain open to the general public!
