Few brands are able to get it right EVERY single time, to the point where their design prowess appears to know no bounds. This can be said for tailoring extraordinaire Peter Do, so much so that if there was ever a brand that was forever runway ready, its Peter Do.
Far from exaggeration, the brand exudes design confidence that can only come when you’re able to make structurally pleasing pieces that are complex yet could easily assimilate into the wardrobe staple archetype.
Creative director Peter Do is able to create pieces nothing short of genius such as detachable suits, and high waisted front hemmed trousers. He plays around with daring cuts, but brings each piece together with a clean finish, by opting for a monochrome colour, so the design does all the talking.
These statement pieces are boxy, which allow them to be well suited to those with an androgynous egde. Playing around with dark hues such as browns, greens, creams, and black its easy to command a presence in any of these bold designs.
What really gets me excited is when Peter Do creates leather pieces because that’s when the art really comes through. The leather appears soft and creates a look that I can only describe as buttery goodness. Whether its the brown shirt or trousers, I’d love to see these items on the likes of ‘Leather Lord’ Luka Sabbat ofcourse paired with heeled boots.
Peter Do makes clothing that would turn heads on and off the runway, through its dominant yet elegant designs. I have no advice to offer this brand other than-Do it Again!
