Our Mains ting takes us to another destination!

Social media has been in a frenzy since Thursday when Skepta took his friends to celebrate the upcoming release of Nike SKAir Part 2 97/BW (May 19th). The team took the Eurostar to Paris to showcase the SKAir in all its glory! Whilst the world lapped up the new silhouette (we did too), we couldn’t help but notice  what they were paired with!

If you remember we were at the launch event for the last SKAir alongside JD Sports, and no detail was left out with the Nike shoe being premiered alongside Skepta’s own brand Mains clothing. From socks to the amazing olive cotton drill tracksuit, the brand gave us full on outfits to pair with the Moroccan inspired 97, as shown below on DJ Siobhan Bell and Greatness Dex.

The white tracksuit features a red and blue side detail and is perfect for the British summer, giving us a very clean look. As Skepta forays deeper into the fashion world, it is clear that he is there not only to be inspired, but to inspire others as he makes his mark providing street wear that is made by a street wear aficionado himself, and other brands should take note.

The simplicity of the tracksuit really sets it apart. From the quarter zip track-top to the breathable underarm, it is perfect for optimum mobility. This is an essential piece for our summer wardrobe and we’re eager to see people wearing it all around the country. Whilst at the last release we were only able to purchase the socks, perhaps there will be a raffle or a purchase opportunity for the tracksuit or better still, availability at Selfridgescontemporary menswear!

Yet again Mains and Nike appear to go hand in hand like bread and butter, only this time they’ve gone beyond the boundaries of this city, to which we say Oui Oui Oui!
